100 metres from the High Street/Royal Mile this open plan apartment has the benefit of being in the quiet area of Old Fishmarket Close yet perfectly positioned for exploring Edinburgh.
It is a tastefully decorated apartment with a bright living room and kitchen along with two comfortable double bedrooms, and there is also a small double sofa bed meaning the property is suitable for 6 at a squeeze, but comfortably 5 guests. The bathroom is clean and fresh.
This property really is super!
You enter the apartment via a secured intercom door, where where you are greeted by a communal area where lift and stairs will take you to level 3 where the apartment is situated.
If you are planning to cook up a storm during your stay then please note that the kitchen comprises of: Gas hob with overhead extractor fan. A modern electric oven. Integrated fridge freezer, washing machine and dishwasher.
Guests will enjoy access to the whole property!

The Mile is overlooked by impressive, towering tenements, between which cobbled closes and narrow stairways interlock to create a secret underground world.
Peppered with superb attractions such as The Real Mary King’s Close or the Scottish Storytelling Centre, historical sites including St Giles' Cathedral and some of the best eating and drinking spots in the city, the Royal Mile offers much to see and do. For a glimpse of recent history, be sure to visit the ultra-modern Scottish Parliament, a striking building boasting a cutting-edge design.
Once a medieval market place and site for public executions, the Grassmarket area is now a vibrant area buzzing with lively drinking spots and eclectic shops. Its detailed medieval architecture, stunning castle views and dynamic atmosphere make it one of the city’s most-loved areas, frequented by tourists, students and professionals alike.
There are bus routes moments from the apartment and taxis ranks... we would highly recommend NOT having a hire car- parking isn't the easiest!
Please note that Old Fishmarket Close is a very steep street, perhaps not best suited for elderly guests or guests with mobility issues. Also there is no parking on Old Fishmarket Close- it is best to explore the city on foot from this apartment!

The kitchen is fully set up and the dining table, which seats six, is terrific to have if you want to save money making your own meals. Location is perfect and central, an easy walk to Waverly Station or a 5 minute taxi. Walk just up the close (alley) to the Royal Mile. The street is a very steep, cobblestoned surface. Could be a challenge for folks with sore knees or hips. The lane can get busy—there is a theatrical tour that stops below the flat and the offices for the Fringe are here. Consider earplugs or white noise if you’re sensitive. Can’t reccommend highly enough. I could live here!April 2018

Beds very comfortable, nice sofa's and the whisky decanter was a lovely touch. Only negatives would be that the apt was very very hot, we opened windows but couldn't get any air - perhaps due to time of the year but a fan might be welcome, and the boiler made a very strange noise like a washing machine on the spin cycle!. It was nice to have an apartment to have some quick meals. The management company was great to deal with and quick to respond to our requests. The only downside, is that the area can be very noisy in the late evening- so if you are sensitive to this, bring ear plugs!September 2018

I would also highly recommend the restaurant, Michael Neave’s, right next door for a spectacular dinner or just a whisky nightcap on your way home.
