Found in the city centre, it's the perfect base for visiting Edinburgh and going further afar. The flat is furnished very comfortably and retains great period features. Perfect for the Rugby, Festival, Concerts, Uni Graduation or just a get away!
There are three large bedrooms, that each have a double bed and wardrobe space. Fresh, clean, ironed linen and towels are provided for each stay.
We have a travel cot too, should you need it just let us know!
The kitchen is comfortable in size and tea and coffee is provided. We will also leave a 'Scottish Welcome Pack of local goodies'. There's a washing machine/dryer, coffee machine, microwave, kettle, fridge and freezer.

The flat is situated in the West End of Edinburgh that is part of a World Heritage Site thanks to the Georgian Architecture that you will see all around you. Alva Street its self is made up of small businesses and private homes making it the perfect place to stay as you are right in the center of town, but in a nice quiet street where you can soak up the Edinburgh life style. The surrounding area has lots to offer in the way of quirky bars, restaurants, shops (chains and independents) and Princes Street is just two minutes walk away.
There are two supermarkets, pharmacy, ATM on the parallel street to the flat, the Scottish farmers weekend markets are a 5-10mins walk, located in Castle Terrace car park. There are also cinemas, gyms, galleries, museums, shopping and much, much more all within walking distance- the best way to see Edinburgh!

If arriving from the Airport You can take the Airport Express Bus or Tram which travel straight into the city center and get off at West End, (Shandwick Place, which is parallel to Alva Street) then it is a 2 minute walk to the flat from there.
From the train stations (Waverly and Haymarket) is about 10 -15 min walk.
Arriving from Waverly - head out and walk towards the West End of Princes Street (the Castle should be on your left), Alva Street is just around the corner from the House of Frasers off of Queensferry Street.
Arriving From Haymarket - Walk towards the city center and turn left onto Stafford Street and Alva Street is on the right half way down.
From Princes Street you can catch almost any bus and travel around the entire city seeing all the sites. If you want to go on a specific tour the tour buses run from Waverly Bridge, right outside the train station.
The two main bus companies are Lothian Buses and First Buses, which both have websites and Apps that you can get timetables and fares for.
Outside the Rutland Hotel (2mins walk) there's a taxi rank.
As your visiting Edinburgh its always wise to carry a small umbrella or light rain coat just in case. Especially if your out and about checking out our beautiful city... you never know when you might get caught in a shower!
