Description
This is a unique property in the heart of Edinburgh that holds a traditional and homely feel of a classic Georgian home. Dating back to 1806 (!), the property boasts some fantastic original features, pieces of art, a quirky little four poster bed and comfortably sleeps 5 guests across 3 bedrooms.
Located on Union Street, the apartment is next to some of the best pubs and restaurants Edinburgh has to offer. Broughton Street is just around the corner, as is the all new St. James Quarter shopping complex and St Andrews Square.
The home has 3 bedrooms. One very small double room with a unique 'Scotch Double' (aka small double bed suited for one person) and two further bedrooms with king-sized beds. The kitchen looks directly out to the Firth of Forth. There is one bathroom and one shower room, both with a toilet. So plenty of space for groups of 5. Enjoy a home cooked meal or take-out from the kitchen table which seats all 6 guests. While this property is in a fantastic location and has bags to offer, the quirkiness and age of the homes reflected in what we feel is an honest price point.
Guests will love this property, particularly if they're looking to experience a true, historical feel while enjoying Edinburgh.
The property is located on the 2nd floor and unfortunately, like most Edinburgh traditional homes, has no elevator. A travel cot and highchair can both be accommodated for your stay with prior agreement. There is a small additional fee of £30 for the cot or highchair and your own linen is required.
Unfortunately parking isn't included with this property, but there is street parking available on the surrounding streets.and also a Q park just a 2 minute walk away at the OMNI centre.
Location
There is so much on your doorstep at this property. One of Edinburgh's best streets (in our opinion) just just around the corner- Broughton Street. A 5 minute walk away you can find the brand new St James' Quarter and John Lewis and it's a 15- 20 minute walk into Edinburgh's Old Town. At this property, you'll be surrounded by pubs, restaurants, bars and shops but you can also take a 10 minute stroll into New Town to find yourself on St Andrews Square, Princes St or George St. Coming from the airport? Jump on the tram and jump off at Picardy place- an exact two minute walk to the property. The tram will also take you back into central Edinburgh in about 3 minutes if you just don't fancy the walk some days too!
