Description
Looking for a spot where you can sit outside in the peace and quiet with a bit of privacy? Abbots Hill has a wonderful, fully enclosed, private garden, hedged on 3 sides with the 4th side looking onto the old farm steadings. It comes complete with a lockable shed where you can store bikes, kayaks or other outdoor adventure equipment.
This 3 bedroom property can comfortable sleep up to 8 guests, over 2 floors.
On the ground floor you'll find one large bedroom with king size bed, a Jack and Jill toilet and shower room that is accessible from both the bedroom and kitchen area, a fully equipped utility room (washer-dryer and large fridge-freezer), open-plan kitchen-dining area (seats 8) that leads onto a spacious but cosy living room with two large, comfortable sofas and wood burning fireplace.
Upstairs is another two large bedrooms, both boasting king size beds, (one includes a single bed that can be made up as a king upon request). All the bedrooms look out over the private garden and rolling fields of the estate.
There is a shared, modern bathroom upstairs where you can soak away your cares in the large bath.
Situated on the 1,250 acre Dalvey Estate in the Scottish Highlands, nestled between the mountains and the sea, Abbots Hill is the perfect, secluded spot to disconnect and enjoy Moray’s stunning countryside and coastlines.
Dalvey has been the home of the MacLeod family since 1798. It is still a much-loved family home but the owners of the estate are kind enough to allow guests to explore their vast grounds and and beautiful Georgian house.
Due to the location of this property, we would advise having a car for the duration of your stay. However there are plenty of local taxi companies that we would be happy to recommend.
Wifi and a smart TV are both available at the property.
Location
Within the immediate area you will find a Tesco (located just over a mile away), while still having the escape of being located next to stunning fields and countryside. The Forres town centre has an array of local butchers, bakeries, cafes and restaurants. Culbin Forest is just 10 minutes drive, offering beautiful beach walks and biking trails.
Landmark adventure park is less than 45 mins away, a great day out for families and children and we are lucky enough to be next door to the stunning Brodie Castle and Hardmuir farm shop, a great stop for picking local raspberries and strawberries and stocking up on other fresh produce. The River Spey and Findhorn are so close by, that this property would provide a fantastic base after daily sessions on the riverbanks. Inverness is just a short 30 minute drive from this property and even less time to the Dalcross Airport!
