Description

The property has been finished to a beautiful standard, offering a taste of modernism while being in an historic area of Scotland. This property would be suited for families and couples alike, looking for a special stay in Scotland.

There is a beautiful large family kitchen which is the centre hub of the property. The dining space is smart yet comfortable creating a great setting for a simple family occasion.

The house boasts a large lounge with tasteful decoration throughout and wooden floors which create a spacious yet cosy feel.

You can look forward to the warmth of real fires within this property and views out over the village, and beyond to the North Sea. It is a really stunning outlook.

Upstairs, there are three perfect 6ft Super King bedrooms, all en suite making them ideal for couples/ friends travelling together. There are also two additional twin rooms, with two beds in each, which share one bathroom. One of the twin rooms contains an additional, very comfortable, double sofa bed, a great room for children sharing together.

The property has been newly renovated throughout, with roll top baths, waterfall showers and beautifully tiled bathrooms included.

Parking is ample on the houses own private driveway and a large garden to the front and rear, perfect for children to run around safely. We will also consider allowing dogs as there are beautiful walks in the area - please just ask!

This truly is a special luxury home.

The property is best suited for a maximum of 8 adults and 4 children due to the top floor twin bedrooms having limited head height above the beds and one of the beds is a sofa bed sleeping 2.

Location

Approximately a 2 hour drive from Inverness airport along the scenic NC500 route. The village of Lybster is small, but incredibly breath taking. There is a gorgeous harbour, with locally caught fresh crab served in the little cafe. There is a delightful 9 hole golf course, a post office just along the road and a mini mart is open daily for local produce and newspapers. Camster Cairns and Latheronwheel Harbour can be found just a few miles down the road. Next door is the Portland Arms Hotel, serving meals both in the bar and restaurant.

Wick is just 13 miles drive and 20 miles to Thurso. There are many hillwalking and climbing opportunities in the area as well as mountain biking through Rumster Forest. Horse riding can be arranged in nearby Halkirk.

There is world class salmon fishing, trout fishing in lochs and sea angling by arrangement.

Getting Around:

There are so many beautiful walking routes in the area, it's hard to know where to begin. Although there are bus routes nearby, we recommend guests drive to visit and stay at this property, to enjoy all the area has to offer! The stunning Whaligoe Steps are just a few miles away, along with the quirky Whaligoe Steps cafe. Slightly further afield, but an easy morning/afternoon trip is The Castle Of Mey and John O groats. Day trips to Orkney are possible from John O Groats during the summer months.
