Description

Dreaming of a quiet rural getaway with stunning views over the Scottish countryside? Ardlearag is just what you need.

Completed in 2021, this stunning home has been designed with the surrounding landscape in mind. Well placed picture windows and floor to ceiling glass doors mean every room has a view out over Little Loch Broom and the Scottish moors.
The property is tastefully decorated throughout in a contemporary colour palette. The soft furnishings give a relaxed, cosy, bohemian vibe which perfectly compliments the modern fixtures and design elements of the house.
Expect real attention to detail, textures, marbles, resin and wood surfaces throughout, making it feel luxurious, yet homely!

The property can sleep up to 8 guests and has 2 king-sized beds, 1 double bedroom and one twin room with two single beds.
There are three stunning bathrooms, one of which is en-suite and another which has Loch views from the bathtub, (we guarantee you will never want to leave!).

The house was built with children in mind, so little ones are always welcome. A cot and high chair are both available on request and there is an easily accessible ground floor bathroom and double bedroom.

Ardlearag is doggy friendly and can accommodate up to 3 dogs.

Looking for adventure? An Teallach is a well known munro, some say the most impressive in Britain, with lots of dramatic scenery and impressive views. Not for the faint hearted, this walk will take 9-10 hours. Start your ascent by the Dundonnell Hotel.

There are waterfalls at Ardessie, and many beach, loch and river walks right at your doorstep.
We recommend visiting Inverewe Gardens and if you're lucky, you might spot dolphins on a boat trio from Poolewe!

Please note that due to cleaning limitations, arrival and departure days are strictly a Friday only.

Location

The little village of Badcaul is the perfect spot for those really looking to soak up what Scotland has to offer and some rugged Scottish scenery.
A five minute walk away, guests can find the pancake tearoom and the Laide post office.

Looking to explore? Head the opposite direction and you'll find Ardessie Falls, a real hidden gem!

If you're looking for some of Scotlands famous hidden beaches, Gunaird Bay is 15 minutes drive and has an incredibly sweet little beach. Perfect for walking your four legged friends!

We had an amazing time at this property in Badcaul. The property had a lovely calming style of decor, plenty of space, lots of kitchen utensil essentials, lots of family games, and the views were absolutely stunning!

Fantastic location and spectacular views, we had a very rare week of spectacular Scottish weather which was the icing on the cake, but the house and setting would be worth it regardless.

Sonia’s place is excellent. I can truly recommend it to anybody. The best place for the family holiday far from the chaotic world. Badcaul is the most peaceful village I’ve ever been to surrounded by lakes and mountains.

Amazing place, full of everything we needed for our stay. Although remote, we found it ideally positioned to explore up and down the west coast. If you like to get out and explore your surroundings, then this part of the west coast won't disappointment. We hope to be back again :)

This was our second visit to Arlearag, and we loved it once again! The views over little Loch Broom are beautiful. The week was mostly wet but we managed a day of munro-bagging in the Fannichs which are 20 minutes away. Watching the weather come in from the sea is never boring. The house is well-equipped and the tumble dryer is handy for hillwalkers. Would definitely visit again!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Ardlearag. The house is large and modern with everything needed for a relaxing week on the west coast and we would definitely recommend it. The location and views from the patio are beautiful and it was great having breakfast there on the warm mornings we enjoyed for most of our week. However the location is remote with not much in the way of amenities within a 10 mile drive although we were aware of this when booking.

Ardlearag is a beautiful house in a beautiful location with absolutely fantastic views, really lovely. And well equipped. Plenty of board games too! Fishing is not onsite but a few mile down the road at the jetty and is a perfect location for sea trout 2 or 3 hours before high tide, that’s if there’s no seals hanging about! The owner was very helpful in telling us where to get permits for lochs etc and also very helpful and quick to respond with any queries we had. A visit to the Ardressie waterfalls is worth it and just a mile down the road as well as lovely beaches on the way to Gairloch, Gruinard Bay was great for a dip. We would love to come back here and stay in the future. Thank you for a lovely holiday.
