Very cute cottage in a very quiet and peaceful rural environment. The accommodation is very well equipped, nicely decorated and well located for visiting the area. We had a pleasant stay and thank you Mr Cowie for the explanation upon arrival.

Bramble cottage was lovely and well presented, surrounded by hills and sheep and cows and horses. The snow came in and it was like a wonderland. It's an hour from Aberdeen. The house is small but for us it was cosy with some nice touches like the toiletries. The fire was amazing and was so cosy, the kitchen living room is open plan but the heat flowed through. The kitchen is well equipped. The cooker wasn't easy to work but Peter explained how to get it working. We didn't see it as a problem because we managed to get it up and running easily. The hot tub is a bonus although I only went in once but partner used it. Bring logs the fire will use them up fast but Peter kindly gave us some more as there was nowhere to buy any. The second bedroom wasn't made up but we didn't need it although Emma brought new bedding. It was extremely peaceful and I could have stayed longer. It's beautifully decorated but not cluttered. Bed was so comfy.

The perfect cottage to escape too when you are looking to have a few days 'off grid'. The cottage is decorated beautifully and the owners have really thought of everything that you will need to make your stay as enjoyable as it can be. We hope to be back again!

I really enjoyed my stay there and I would definitely stay there again. The house is very clean and modern and has a very cosy fireplace. The beds were very comfortable too. The location is in the country about 20 mins drive from Huntly in the Turriff direction. It's very peaceful and beautiful. I highly recommend staying here.

The cottage is in a lovely rural setting of Carlincraig with beautiful views over the surrounding countryside. We enjoyed the silences of the dark night sky’s and the sounds of birdsong by day. The location was remarkably convenient to many regional tourist areas including Banff and the other quaint costal villages, Huntly and its castles and as well as Granton on Spey and Cairgorns. We were only there for 4 days and did not think that enough time to do the area justice.
The cottage itself has been beautifully modernized while maintaining the charm of a bygone era. No detail was overlooked by Emma our hostess in her aim to make this a “ home away from home”. The kitchen features brand new high end appliances including a dishwasher and washing machine. It really is a “cook’s kitchen” with sharp knives, good pans and every needed implement. The bathroom was lovely modern and large with both a shower and bath for those who like to soak. The bedrooms upstairs were cozy with carefully chosen linens.
We arrived to find a real log fire burning, fresh flowers and a basket of local goodies which were much appreciated. The warmest welcome of out 4 week Scottish trip which has taken us to 6 different properties.
There were even cards and games for us to play. We did not have any little ones with us but were charmed by the wigwam and trolls included to help the smaller guests settle in.

We had a great stay in Bramble Cottage. It was a luxurious and cosy few days with all the comforts of home and more. The photos don’t do it justice. We had everything we needed and more with special touches provided by the owners Emma and Peter e.g. a lush welcome pack and loads of little toiletries in cute packs. It really could be the kind of stay you want to make it - family, romantic, stay in or go out. We were 3 adults (2 generations) and a 1 year old and it catered for us all. Large supermarket 10 mins drive in one direction and fabulous farm shop 10 mins in other direction. Lots of sightseeing, whisky distilleries, parks and even soft play within 30 min drive. Emma and Peter are so friendly and at arms length with whatever contact suits you. Emma came to see we had all we needed albeit was late and dark outside and when we went wandering around Peter called Tilly and her foal for my grandson to pet. We highly recommend and will definitely be back.
