Description

This quaint little one bedroom cottage is the perfect cosy hideaway for a couple or friends looking to escape and soak in the Scottish hillside. The cottage is has an open plan layout with lounge and kitchen diner on the ground floor. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything your could possibly need for your stay, including a ceramic hob, microwave with oven and grill, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washer/dryer and ironing facilities. In the lounge you'll find a log burning stove and flatscreen TV with window views out onto the little lane.

Check in to this property is from 4pm and check out is by 11am. Access to the keys is via lockbox which provides plenty of flexibility with arrival times.

The perfectly sized, monochrome bathroom is tastefully designed, offering a good, powerful stand alone shower and gives this little, old cottage a modern feel.

Upstairs you will find the bedroom, boasting an incredibly comfortable wooden, king-size bed. Enjoy a lazy morning watching the 32 inch ROKU Smart TV, allowing you to enjoy using your own on-demand streaming accounts such as Netflix and Amazon Prime!

Don't worry about taking your own linen or towels- these are all included. We will also leave you enough firewood to get started- more can then be purchased from the store over the road.

Wi-Fi is also available free of charge and is surprisingly fast!

We are delighted to welcome one well behaved dog, however a small additional cleaning fee may apply. Dog owners, please beware that the property doesn't have it's own private garden area, however there is a great dog walking facility called "The Cover", located just at the end of the road- a two minute walk away!

There is a dedicated parking space opposite the cottage which we can direct you to!

We're French and we stay in this cottage, one week, in october 2023. This location is exceptional for visiting the north of Scotland, the cottage is just incredible, a very cozy dolls' house, very comfortable with a small fire in the evening which warms the house and the hearts.

Warm, welcoming, spotlessly clean. It is absolutely charming. Clear instructions on how everything works. It really is a cozy property. The only thing to take note of is that the stairs to the bedroom lift are steep, not a complaint, just information to have.

The cottage is beautiful and so cozy. We felt right at home and had everything we needed. Excellent location - easy walking distance from local pubs, restaurants, supermarket, pharmacy and takeaways. Also only 30 minutes walk from nearby Urquhart Castle. Host responded quickly to questions. We had a fantastic time and would love to go back. Highly recommend.

Excellent accommodation overall, could do with some outside space and better parking but geography stops that I guess. Area was lovely good walks and local village had plenty of amenities

Lovely location for a quiet getaway. Really close to Loch Ness and there are some lovely walks / restaurants closeby. The nearby main road is a little noisy but it didn’t really bother us. The cottage was clean and very well appointed.

This was our first place and trip to Scotland and it was a lovely cottage. We enjoyed every single moment we spent here. You put so much effort into it and every little detail brings joy to the visitor. You contributed so much to our first impression of beautiful Scotland. Thank you very much and hopefully one day we might stay again.

A beautifully clean and cosy cottage, an excellent base to explore the shores of loch ness. Host was really helpful and communicated quickly and efficiently when we needed them. Only grumble is the road the crossroads is on can be quite busy at times which we didn’t anticipate. Don’t be alarmed by the parking space though - we tucked our pick up in with ease! Thanks for our cosy pre christmas stay!

Beautiful, clean, cozy and perfect "homebase" for visiting the area. Me and my son really enjoyed the cottage and the town. It was a great location for day trips as well as nice walks into the woods nearby or to get take-away pizza from the little town shopping centre. A great place and I will definitely recommend it to anyone planning a visit to the Loch Ness area.

"We really cannot say that we have seen many cottages that have made such an impression on us as Crossroads. The minute you open the front door. ' WOW'. This little cottage has been so lovingly restored by the owners it is a credit to them. As you wander around the open plan lounge/kitchen you wonder how they have managed to get so much into such a wee space. If you are looking for a romantic tryst then we are sure you would not be disappointed, we certainly would not be! Snuggling up on the comfortable sofa in front of the log fire with a nice glass of wine after a romantic meal at the local restaurant just 2 minutes from the door what more could you want!"
