The Lodge Wardend

The Lodge at Wardend has been thoughtfully designed to be spacious, comfortable and welcoming for all guests, with a range of accessibility features alongside stylish interiors and modern amenities. Wide doorways, open living areas, and practical storage make it equally well suited to couples, families travelling with young children, and guests who may benefit from additional accessibility considerations.

This smart home includes voice-activated doors, blinds, and lighting (with manual controls available). The lodge also features wide door frames, lowered kitchen units, grab rails, and a spacious accessible bathroom to make everyday living easy and comfortable during your stay. The tasteful decor and the usual warm amenities makes for an open and welcoming feel for all.

The large master bedroom offers a king-size bed and generous walk-in wardrobe space - we'll be impressed if you can fill it! The bed includes an electric ceiling track hoist system to support guests who may benefit from easier access. The bathroom features a walk-in-shower with grab rails and dual access doors, providing convenient entry and exits so no need to worry about struggling to turn when inside. .

While the kitchen does not include a full-size oven, there is a toaster oven available which guests find perfect for preparing simple meals during their stay.

There is ample parking space right outside the property, with a smooth access path and ramp to the entrance door.

One well behaved dog welcome on request for additional fee of £30, our pet policy rules apply and unfortunately The Lodge is not suitable for large dog breeds.

The fishery is a small, local business which runs day to day. There will be anglers on site, so watch them cast their fly! The pools are set back from the lodge, so you don't need to worry about people walking past your window. Want to do some fishing? The owners welcome guests with a discounted rate for fishing and they can provide some of the angling equipment you'll need.

Your very gracious hosts live just next door and are on hand for anything you may need. The Lodge sits within the fishery, a small, local business which runs day to day where you may see anglers enjoying a day’s fishing on the nearby lochs. The fishing pools are set back from the lodge, ensuring your privacy while still allowing you to soak up the peaceful surroundings. Guests are also welcome to try fishing themselves, with discounted rates and equipment available from the owners.

The owners also run a charming coffee stop, so you can treat yourself to a freshly brewed coffee and homemade treat before heading off for the day, or simply relax enjoy the surrounding scenery.

For those who enjoy exploring the outdoors, there are beautiful walks nearby, including the popular Millbuies, just a two-minute drive away. Whether you prefer a gentle stroll or a longer countryside walk, we’re always happy to point you in the direction of the best local routes.
